Our Valley of Abundance...
Surrounded by a bowl of mountains and nestling in a fertile valley, Tulbagh is the fourth oldest town in the country, set in the Cape Winelands within easy driving range from Cape Town. Charming Church Street features no less than 32 national monuments and four museums - people often visit to admire the architectural heritage so beautifully restored post the 1969 earthquake, or simply take a step back into the ambiance of yesteryear.
Tulbagh has numerous restaurants to suit every taste and pocket, plus a multi-award winning wine route. The surrounding countryside and mountain passes present endless photographic opportunities and a wonderful tractor ride up Oudekloof offers sight of seven Boland towns simultaneously. Activities include hiking, fishing, bird watching and for the more adventurous thrills such as horse riding, zip-lining, mountain biking and trail running. Tulbagh is also wedding town, with a dozen venues each more lovely than the last.
For the longer-term tenant the village offers much convenience with an excellent Spar and other stores, and there is considerable life in the village. HomeAway itself is in the best part of town, quiet and secure.
